Tillandsia nana is a small bromeliad native to the high-altitude limestone cliffs of Peru and Bolivia, between 2,900 and 3,500 meters above sea level. Its numerous soft leaves grow very close together along a stem and are ash-gray in color due to being covered in tiny trichomes tightly pressed to the surface. Its inflorescence is very short and bears two or three pinkish-purple flowers.
