Notocactus magnificus is a cactus endemic to Rio Grande do Sul (Brazil). It is a globose cactus, somewhat sunken at the apex, bluish-green in color, composed of 11 to 15 ribs covered with yellow spines. It produces yellow flowers at the apex.
