Tillandsia tricolor
Tillandsia tricolor is a species native to Central America. It grows as an epiphyte from 70 to 1500 meters above sea level. Its numerous firm, lime-green leaves form a jar-shaped rosette with a dark brown, almost black base (not to be confused with rot or similar). It produces a simple yellow inflorescence with reddish tones, especially if exposed to high light, and lilac-colored tubular flowers.
