Tillandsia reichenbachii is an species from southern Bolivia to central Argentina, growing epiphyte in forests between 200 and 2000 meters of altitude. It is a fairly variable species, very similar to Tillandsia streptocarpa or Tillandsia duratii. Its leaves arranged in a helix and with a 'zig-zag' shape, are densely covered by fine trichomes, forming a starfish-shaped rosette. Its long floral bract produces multiple purple flowers with a white center, large in size compared to the plant, and highly perfumed. Very easy care plant, resistant to cold / heat and drought.
