Tillandsia spiralipetala is a species within the subgenus Diaphoranthema (Tillandsias miniature). This particular plant grows epiphyte in Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia between 500 and 1100 meters of altitude. Its leaves are covered with trichomes and give the entire plant a white appearance. Green floral bract with great presence of trichomes, flowers with brown petals. Its name comes from the particular shape of its petals, rolled in a spiral. Uncommon plant.
