Tillandsia stricta 'hard leaf', como su nombre en inglés indica, es una variedad de hojas duras la tacto. Sus mútiples hojas de color verde oscuro están cubiertas de finos tricomas y forman una preciosa y brillante roseta exhuberante. Una de las floraciones mas vistosas, con bráctea floral rosa intenso y flores azules. És una planta prolífera, formando bonitos grupos con el paso del tiempo.
