Tillandsia streptophylla is a beautiful species native to Central America; Mexico, Honduras, Guatemala, Belize, Antilles, Costa Rica. It is a relatively variable plant in forms depending on its place of origin. Plant with multiple green leaves forming a pseudobulb covered with large trichomes. Its leaves can be curled or stretched depending on the level of hydration, although there are also more stretched forms of leaves. T. streptophylla is a mirmecophyte plant, that is to say, it can enter into symbiosis with ants in nature. Produces a pink / green floral bract with lilac tubular flowers. It should be grown on an incline so that water does not accumulate in its pseudobulb and to avoid cases of rot. One of the most amazing species for its appearance and flowering.
