Tillandsia butzii is a species native from southern Mexico to Panama, growing epiphytically from 1000 to 2300 meters of altitude. One of the most notable characteristics of this species is the brown mottling that covers its green leaves, giving it a brindle appearance. Tillandsia butzii has some variations and this variety differs from Tillandsia butzii by having pinkish flowers and its less pseudobulbose shape. Very proliferates, giving multiple offsets.
