Tillandsia hondurensis is a species endemic to Honduras. It grows on rocks at 1,800 meters above sea level, in a very specific area near the municipality of Valle de Ángeles. Its silvery leaves, soft to the touch due to the presence of fine trichomes, give it a velvety, glossy appearance, forming a dense rosette about 15 cm in diameter. Its pink bracts extend beyond the foliage, and its tubular flowers are light violet, especially at the base.
