Tillandsia bartramii
Tillandsia bartramii is a species that is distributed in the southern United States, Mexico and Guatemala. It grows in forests, in shady or semi-shaded places, epiphytically, at low altitudes and near coastal areas. It is reminiscent of Tillandsia juncea, and is easy to confuse with Tillandsia setacea. Acaulescent plant, with numerous thin and long leaves, forming a dense rosette, covered with fine and numerous trichomes that give it a grayish appearance. The base of its leaves has brown coloring. Long floral bract of the same size as its leaves, sometimes exceeding the foliage, of a quite striking red/pink color. Tubular lilac flowers. Proliferate plant that likes to grow in clumps, easy to care for with good ventilation.
