Tillandsia purpurea nº2

10.00 (tax incl.)

Tillandsia purpurea is a very variable species in shape. It grows on sand, rock and xerophytic vegetation, from near sea level to 900 (rarely 3100) meters of altitude, on the coasts of Ecuador and Peru. Species very similar to T. straminea and T. cacticola. Its multiple leaves, densely covered with trichomes, stand out, giving the plant a silvery appearance. Long floral bract, pink in color, flowers with a lilac edge and a white center, very scented. Tillandsia purpurea nº2 is a more open form of Tillandsia purpurea, with many leaves, somewhat longer unlike other forms. Plant resistant to sun and drought.
