Tillandsia straminea
Tillandsia straminea is a species that is distributed from southern Ecuador to central Peru, from coastal areas up to 2,500 meters above sea level. Its multiple leaves are long and form an elegant rosette, densely covered with fine, velvety trichomes that give the plant an almost white color. Plant easy to confuse with Tillandsia purpurea, which is differentiated by small details such as its long leaves, fine and velvety trichomes and its longest floral bract. Tillandsia straminea is relatively variable in forms and varieties. This particular form is characterized by its thin leaves and soft to the touch.
