Tillandsia cacticola is a species native to Peru. It grows epiphytically on bushes and cacti in arid places, from 300m to 2300m altitude. It is a species that comes in multiple forms. This is an stemless form, with long lime green leaves, densely covered with fine trichomes, which give the plant a particular shine. Its floral bract of a striking lavender color is very long and can exceed 60 cm. It produces multiple creamy white flowers with purple petal tips.
