It is one of the most interesting species within the genus of tillandsias due to its particular curly leaves that it uses in nature to cling to the branches of trees, its large size in the adult state and its flowering, a long bract that bears numerous flowers of Violet color with a white center, very perfumed, and the flowering lasts a long time. It is an easy-care plant, tolerant to drought.
