Tillandsia aureobrunnea is a species native to Peru, growing epiphytically between 1200 and 1700 meters of altitude. This particular species, quite rare, is characterized by its silvery/white foliage that is very soft to the touch, densely covered by trichomes giving it a velvety appearance. Its long leaves can reach 30 centimeters long. It produces a long green floral bract, similar to its leaves. Its flowers are a characteristic and striking yellow color with brown tones or specks, with an intense and pleasant perfume.
