Tillandsia toropiensis is a species native to Brazil, growing among rocks at 300 meters of altitude, near the Toropi River (hence its name) in the province of Rio Grande do Sul. Species with silvery leaves, similar to Tillandsia lorentziana or Tillandsia recurvifolia v . subsecundifolia. It produces a striking orange-red flower bract. Its flowers are white. Slow growing plant, easy to care for.
