Tillandsia mollis is a species native to Bolivia, growing on rocks on cliffs, forming large groups. It is a species within the subgenus Diaphoranthema, which is close to Tillandsia usneoides. Its white leaves are distic, soft to the touch, cyclindrical with the peculiarity that the upper part of the leaves is compressed. It is an interesting species, very slow growing. It produces a light green and white bract due to the presence of trichomes. Greenish yellow flowers with brown tones. Rare plant in cultivation.
