Tillandsia mauryana is an endemic species to Mexico. It belongs to the Viridantha subgenus, a group of plants that are characterized by their green flowers and silver foliages, originating in Mexico. Its population in nature is very limited, the majority being found in the Barranca de Metztitlán Biosphere Reserve, in Hidalgo, Mexico, growing on rock cliffs. This beautiful and prized species has white / silver leaves covered by fine trichomes. Its multiple and numerous leaves form a beautiful spherical rosette. Orange / pink floral bract covered with white trichomes. Dark green flowers. Very slow growing plant. A wonderful and rare species.
