Tillandsia bulbosa is a species native to Mexico, Central America, and northern South America to Peru and northern Brazil. It grows epiphytically from sea level to 1,300 meters above sea level. Its green and cylindrical, thin and wavy leaves form a curious white/silver pseudobulb due to the large presence of fine trichomes, which contrast with the green of its leaves. It produces a deep red floral bract, tubular lilac flowers. Its central leaves turn red during flowering, even depending on the conditions, the plant can turn completely red. It is a species quite variable in forms. This particular form has very dark green leaves with reddish tones that intensify with intense light and in the summer period. Also, this shape produces a rounder pseudobulb.
