

Tillandsia aeranthos is a species distributed throughout much of South America, in countries such as Brazil, Uruguay, Paraguay and Argentina. Like many Tillandsias, it is a species with multiple forms and variations. This form of T. aeranthos labeled with this name, with long, hard-to-the-touch dark green/gray leaves, could be a hybrid between T. ixioides. The leaves acquire burgundy tones on the leaves when in flower. Floral bract of a pinkish color, petals of a particular mottled, pale lilac or gray colors.
