Tillandsia 'Mystic Trumpet' is a hybrid of the 'Mystic' series (hybrids between Tillandsia albertiana) bred by Mark Dimmit. In this case, Tillandsia albertiana is crossed with Tillandsia xiphioides. Its leaves, somewhat hard to the touch, are wide at the base and triangular, somewhat ribbed, with the presence of numerous fine trichomes that give the plant a silvery color. Green/gray floral bractea. Showy large flowers compared to the pink/burgundy plant. Plant very easy to care for, resistant to cold/heat and drought. Plants with several suckers available.
