Tillandsia tectorum 'Snow' M
Tillandsia tectorum 'Snow' is a cultivar of Tillandsia tectorum characterized by its large quantity and density of trichomes, which give it a "snowy" appearance.
Tillandsia tectorum is a fairly variable species, native to Peru and Ecuador, at altitudes ranging from 700m to 3500m, growing on rocks and forming large groups. Generally, its peculiarity is its leaves densely covered by long trichomes that help it to capture the water of the mists and the dew of the night. They are also necessary to protect itself from the high solar radiation of the habitats where it grows.
This slow-growing and easy-care cultivar requires few waterings, good light and good ventilation, withstanding cold temperatures, dryness, and direct sun very well.
