Tillandsia ionantha v. stricta is a species native to Mexico which can be relatively variable in forms. Plant with particularly fine and filiform multiple leaves covered with trichomes creating a consistent rosette. Lilac tubular flowers. The plant can remain red throughout the year if it receives intense light. Its leaves turn deep red when it blooms. Slow growing plant, very easy to care for and with a spectacular shape.
