An advantage that this hybrid has is that it is more resistant than the species that make it up, since T. funckiana and T. andreana are sensitive to low temperatures. This plant has numerous lime green leaves, which can take on reddish tones if exposed to high light, thin leaves that grow along a small stem. It produces a striking red flower.
